Description
February 23, 2019: the Jubilee River was constructed in the late 1990s and early 2000s, to help alleviate flooding by the River Thames on the towns of Maidenhead, Windsor, Eton, and others. This new part of the riverbank, with its attractive metal and wood fence, is popular with local people as a place for walking. The river was named in honour of the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 2002.
