Description
The Great Nebula in Orion, also known as Messier 42, is one of the most beautiful sights in the night sky. Easily seen naked eye, the area explodes with color and detail in long exosure photos. It's red color comes from hydrogen, the material from which new stars are born in the central brightest portion of the nebula.
